Updates, Giveaways, Stuff. (The Furred & Frond Management is tired.)

Dear humans,

Today, we are so tired that we are not sharing a picture of our handsome selves. Instead, you get a picture of the female’s new fox pewter mug, which she is currently drinking water out of.

She is so tired she’s not capable of hitting the buttons on the whistle thing that makes water hot so she can make tea.

Yeah, it’s a day today.

In other news, the female went to the Dicken’s Faire in San Francisco yesterday, and she had a great time. She got a PINK tea pot when she did afternoon tea with four of her friends.

This is the pot. It is cute. She loves it. When she gets a chance, she will make the pot hot and pour dead grass into it, and consume the lifeblood of the dead grass.

I think my way is much cooler. “Making tea” sounds rather lame to me.

Anyway, onto the various bits of news:

1: The female is participating in a book fair. Ginger Snapped is involved. But there’s a pretty swanky giveaway up for grabs for people who go there and check out the books and do things. Happy Holidays, and good luck!

2: Some jerkface reported one of the female’s facebook giveaway posts as spam, so all of the entries were gone. As such, she’s changing the rules a little. She will draw two prizes from each giveaway, and the first winner will get the painting/handcrafted thingie. If she has time/stuff to do it, she will give everybody a painting/handcrafted thingie. Books will be random because she doesn’t have enough of the Bernie books to do four full sets. She’ll figure that out. Two sets will be Bernie books. Others will either be ordered after the holidays or just made up of whatever she has kicking around.

From the update department….

Steel Heart is with the editor. Should be back from the editor soon. Except the editor is sick. Websites are getting mad at the female. Nah, no panicking here. Not at all. The female is just running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I’m sure it’ll be just fine.

Blood Bound is coming along nicely, and it does not seem to be much feral or even rabid.

Cold Flame is just waiting for its turn to be edited. So is Taken. Good job, female!

The female took an entire weekend off to play and knit. Don’t die of shock. We were pretty stunned ourselves…

She is almost done her lap blanket. There will be pictures at a later date. She’s also a nice chunk into her scarf. She bought too much of the yarn, so she will tragically be ‘forced’ to make a large blanket with it. So! much! Tragedy!

She is making the male a blanket, too. It is daunting. She is counting her progress in baby inches, but progress IS being made. She’s very proud of the progress she is making.

Right now, she is working on books for 30 minutes, cleaning the home for 15 minutes, and then knitting for 5 minutes before she resumes writing. It’s a vicious cycle of writing, cleaning, and knitting.

Her back hurts something fierce, and she can’t take her medications until the evening. (She will be fine. In March, the male and female will be going bed shopping, as it’s been generally determined the bed is at fault. Unfortunately… the type of bed that is very nice to her back is very expensive.)

The female needs to return to book writing, so I must go.
