R.J. here. In good news, I’d finished all my immediate deadlines. In bad news, my husband just went to the ER. It’s not COVID, but it’s also not good.
As such, I’m probably not going to be as active as normal. I’ll keep everybody (who is interested) posted.
At this point in time, nothing in my schedule is changing, I just won’t be as social as normal. Possibly. I have a lot of waiting to do in the near future, as visitors aren’t allowed at the hospital. With a little luck, he’ll be able to come home sooner than later. Unfortunately, I just don’t know anything.
(We’re hoping it’s a severe ulcer. Because that’s the best case scenario right now.)

The next confirmed release is Catnapped in May. It’s going to be amazing. And honestly, between sessions of frantic cleaning (I clean to make myself feel better) and pacing, I’ll probably be working on this, the Vampire of Montana, and Runaway. (Both of those are Royal States titles.)
I will also be working on Unawakened, the second Dae Portals book.
So… I’m off to clean and pace tracks into the apartment carpets while waiting for word.

I hope you husband recovers quickly. Your fans will all understand that your sole focus right now has to be his health. If your “stress relief” (after cleaning and packing) is writing, we will eagerly look for anything you release. However, if your writing is put on the back burner, we will understand and all send you the strongest of best wishes possible. Take care of yourself while you take care of your loved one.

Sorry to see this. I saw on Facebook that he is to have surgery and that is why I came to see what I had missed. Praying for him, his healthcare providers and you. I know it adds extra stress that you cannot be there. Hopefully the surgery is one he can be home from soon. May you have peace while you wait.
