No, Client from Hell should not be releasing on Kobo tomorrow. There was a technical glitch, and while I’ve attempted to fix it, customer service has not gotten back to me.
As such, kobo readers may get a preorder file tomorrow. It does not have the book, because I pushed the book’s date back to the 27th of JULY because I couldn’t have the book done by now without killing myself.
So, that’s ‘fun.’ Not.
There’s like not even any make-goods I can do on this because it was a stupid error. Annnd, that’s the story of my life right now.
I’m getting a little tired of rolling with the punches, especially when I’m not feeling well.
So, that’s the current situation. I have zero idea how this will be resolved with Kobo.

Just rest! We can wait for your next book a little longer. You need to get to feeling better!
Watch your cats for a while. If they are like my 4, you will fall asleep watching them sleep.
Thank you for all of your wonderful books!

RJ, all you fans (who have a grasp on reality) understand that you want to produce quality work because you are a professional. We also understand that “life happens” to all of us. Your health – mental, physical and emotional – is more important than any release date of a story! Please treat yourself with kindness and take care of yourself, your spouse and the fur-bosses. It would be beneficial if your pushier “fans” realized that you can’t write anything if you are not healthy or are worrying about your loved ones. Take care and THANK YOU for all the excellent stories you have already provided to us (in all the various formats).

I am sorry you are not feeling well. I know I am no help with Kobo, but try to delegate that to some one else and go to bed for a while and try to fell better. We all get sick and need to just go to bed and relax for a few days. Most of us will understand and wait for you.

I’m sorry that you’re not feeling well. (((hugs))) to you. I wish you a good night’s sleep and a better tomorrow!

Care for yourself, get rest, and feel better. You will write a better book if you are in good health and feeling well. I love your books and am quite willing to wait for you to do the best job AND enjoy the process.

R.J., we’d rather wait for a quality book from a healthy, happy, unstressed author! Mistakes happen because we’re all only human.

Just checked on Kobo UK and date is given as 27th July so it looks as if they’ve sorted it. Hope you feel less stressed soon and be comforted by the knowledge that you have a loyal following who will happily wait for your books and who understand that life (and book deadline dates!) is not perfect!

Things happen Hon! We will roll with the punches right along with you because your books are great. If it means we have to wait longer for a book to be released then we wait longer. The books are worth it and I would never be able to enjoy a book that I knew caused physical or emotional illness in the author just to “get it out on time”. On time is when you finish it! Deep breath Hon ~ keep on breathing through it. ??

Hang in there 🙂

Take care of yourself first.
Take care of your family/friends second.
Take care of your work after.
Those of us who love your books will be waiting. Ignore our grumbling, like the whining it is.
Best wishes to you and yours.

Sorry this has happened. Hopefully Kobo will get it figured out. Hopefully anyone who gets a version from Kobo will realize it’s not the final product and not bother you and your PA. If they write nasty notes, both of you just need to delete the comments and realize true fans will wait and not bug you about an error.

I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. I hope you heal quickly. While I was eagerly watching Kobo Canada to see whether or not you’d snuck in an early release, I’m oddly satisfied to see the date now at the one you’d noted previously, July 27th. Of course, this means I’ll have to continue my quest to find an available book of yours I haven’t read yet, but if I truly get desperate, I have one saved that I’ve so far only read once. Feel better soon.

I am just sending your whole family a virtual hug. Hope everyone gets to feeling better soon.

It’s okay, just be careful with your health. We can and will wait politely like decent human beings. 🙂

Please take care of yourself before worrying about anything else! Do something that makes you happy and just zone out for a while. Let the world wait.
