Dear humans,
The female is being amused by a new app that is currently in the works. Booksniffer’s icon, admittedly, made her giggle, which led to her poking and prodding at it. Here is a screenshot of it in action.
To join the fun, you can go to the Google Play or Apple Store doohickeys and download it, then just plug rj blain into the search box, and it’ll pull up a place for you to check out the books and follow me. You can also see stuff here, too. As I’m always game to try new things, I will be doing a very rare book giveaway through this platform. (Limited to 100 copies of limited titles to essentially report to other authors how it performed for me.)
As most of you are aware, I don’t usually do the free book thing at all, so this is a very rare exception mostly being done as a marketing test of a new product for authors who can’t afford to take the gamble.
(I’ll let y’all know how it goes and if I think it’s worth the general investment.)
I expect this shall be a one-off thing.
And now that we have shared this fun little toy for those who like this sort of thing, the female is going back to the trenches.
While grieving that Apple is discontinuing iMac Pros.
So much grieving.
(She is REALLY upset with this news because she really, really likes her iMac Pro and it is her preferred system. This is basically a HUGE disaster for her, as she will need a new computer sooner than later… Pat is starting to struggle here and there because the female does not understand how to NOT run a bazillion programs and do fifty billion things at once, so she needs a big workhorse of a computer.)
Argh.

Boo… Booksniffer is “coming soon” to apple devices.

Search for it in the apple store. It’s there. I have the app on my phone.

Cute app. If you’re feeling like someone is looking over your shoulder, it’s me following you on Booksniffer ?
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
Yeah, it’s a super cute little app. I’m going to go hunt down all the authors I like and follow them!

I’m with you on having everything open on my computer. It used to drive some folks at work crazy because they didn’t understand why I did it. It’s just how we think. Glad I’m not the only one. You do you! ?

Oh No!! Not a new computer! I hate having to learn a new system, even if it is similar or an upgraded/updated one. It takes me forever to learn the quirks and where to find stuff and how to change to what I like and they take the thing I like best and change it into some alien non user friendly- unless you are a computer whiz which I am not- way to do what used to take two clicks. However, after that sentence I may be the run on sentence whiz. 🙂
Hopefully you can find something that will be a good workhorse!
