Dear humans,
The female got new shoes! and new socks! We found this to be very exciting. The female was complaining because she was taxed extra for wanting pink. (Hint: the male’s shoes cost $40 less than the female’s shoes. She is a bit bitter over this. In other news, male didn’t complain her shoes cost more. Mainly because she tried on every pair of shoes with pink on them until she found a pair that actually fit without pain. It was an adventure.)
The male and female have determined they do not like shopping for shoes in a COVID world.
But, her new shoes have pink! So she is happy with this.
Onto the news!
1: Taken will be coming to Audiobook format sometime next week, if all goes well. It has been uploaded to the audiobook distributor. As a reminder, Null and Void, the Captive King, and the Guiding Light are produced and narrated through a traditional audiobook publisher, and therefor, we of the Furred & Frond Management are not responsible for anything found within those audiobooks, including their mismatched covers. (The publisher refused to update the covers.)
These audiobooks will be rerecorded when rights are returned to the female and she is able to sever the contracts… in approximately 7 years, give or take a few years. (We shrug, humans.)
2: Booked to Kidnapping is feral, possibly rabid… if you hear the female scream, that is probably why.
We are questionably still on schedule for its release. We are hoping the next books in line will not be nearly as feral.
3: The kickstarter for trade paperbacks has been fully funded. The next stretch goal is at $17,500, in which everyone who is receiving a trade paperback will receive a packet of coloring book pages the female has drawn for your enjoyment. at $20,000, she will write a short story, print it out, number, and sign it, and include it with every order of physical items. (Depending on when the short story is written, people who receive dropcards may end up receiving a second envelope from the female.)
4: The female is writing a short story for the Shattering the Glass Slipper anthology featured in this kickstarter. The story included is a twist of Jack and the Bean Stalk. It should be a hoot. It will be exclusive to this anthology for quite a while, so if you want to read the story, back the kickstarter. One digital copy of one of the three featured anthologies is $7, so if you back the $7 tier, you will be able to select the anthology with her short in it.
5: Please don’t report typos to Amazon. That’s like calling the cops on your neighbors because they own a red car and you think they should own a silver one. Use the form on this website if you want to report typos.
The latest typo reporter to amazon had a 50% accuracy rate, successfully annoyed the hell out of me, and wasted half an hour of the female’s life this morning when she otherwise could have waited for a good time to handle typos. Amazon’s general policy is to force authors to go along with what readers recommend, and the female has to justify every single rejection she makes. She does not like doing this.
The female’s current impression of the latest individual to report typos: we hope you’re not an editor, because you really don’t understand how English (and its regionalisms) work. If we knew who you were… we would add you to the little black book of people not invited to proofread for us.
(Because a 50% accuracy rate is abysmal.)
6: The female cleaned her desk yesterday. No one was injured, but there was a need to treat the male for shock.
7: The female will bring a selection mass market paperbacks to the 20Books signing in November. (Bally’s, Las Vegas, November 12 10-4 pm.) The female will be present for the entire signing. Assume she will be masked due to COVID. (While she is vaccinated, better safe than sorry.) Still might end up being sorry? If you want trade sized paperbacks, please refer to the kickstarter link above.
If you want to attend the convention, admission is free, and you can preorder books here.
The female will come armed with surprise swag gifts for people who are picking up or buying books. (It’s much easier if you preorder the books for pickup. If you are coming to buy books in person and not prepaying, please bring cash. While she will be setting up some form of digital method of paying for stuff, cash is easier. And won’t be reliant on crappy hotel internet or a cellular connection.)
8: The female is buried in stuff this week, so don’t be surprised if she’s quiet all around the bored. She is hoping to have a new short story for patrons on patreon early next week.
We hope you are all having a great day!
Christina
I may have missed it but I was wondering if Catnapped will be released in audio form?
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
It is currently in production.

My coworker once posted this sign over my desk: “Hoffa is under here -> “
