All right, folks. The moment is almost upon us! The preorder store via backerkit is coming.
US addresses will be able to get books for $25.00 each with $3.50 shipping plus taxes per book. The $25.00 is the same as what was charged in the preorder, and the shipping is at a better rate than the kickstarter because there will be no swag included. (I will be able to ship via media mail.)
I am working on adding select countries to the preorder store, but as a warning, shipping is NOT cheap. At current, it is going to be in a range of $20-$50 USD PER BOOK.
If the USPS cannot ship to it right now, the cheapest shipping fee is $20 for a single pound in the size of a trade paperback. Most are about a pound.
Australians, I’m sorry. The USPS is not shipping to Australia (and a number of other countries.) FedEx is my next best bet, and boy, is FedEx pricey… and so is UPS. And we won’t talk about DHL express.
I’m still looking into options, but if I don’t find a miraculous shipper who can handle getting to these countries, I will refund any attempted orders to these nations. (I am not charging someone $130, minimum, to ship to some of these countries on the list.)
It’s MUCH cheaper to ship TO the United States than it is to ship FROM the United States right now.
However, I will make a bookplate option that will be open internationally. It’s not the same as getting the book, but you can order the books in your home countries or somewhere closer at a MUCH reduced fee.
So, I’m sorry about that. If you ordered during the kickstarter, I am honoring your original ship fee, so no worries there!
Thanks everyone. I’m expecting to be completely done this by September. (A reminder my designer wasn’t feeling well, so there are a spreads that still need to be completed. I don’t ask sick people to work, so we are behind.)
