If you backed in one of the tiers receiving anything from my kickstarter, you should have received your survey. If not, please check your kickstarter email address for the link. If you are 100% sure you checked, confirm through this link. If it throws an error, you’re using the wrong email address. If you are using an Apple privacy protection link, you must use the apple privacy protection email address to gain access to your surveys.
If you want to purchase signed books, you may do so at $25 a piece plus shipping at this link. Please be aware I will not be doing another one of these for a long damned time, and if I do, it won’t be for complete collections.
So, last call.
All forms will be closing on July 1, 2022. At that point, I will begin fulfilling what I can. Those with the largest collections are going last, as I’m still working with my cover designers to get all the formatting done. (This went overboard on the stretch goals.)
For those who backed the original kickstarter, I will be handwriting the story on my boox (Digital tablet), and I’ll be signing/customizing each page for my amusement. I have stencils, pretty colored pens, and a willingness to use them. And zero desire to play by anyone’s rules other than my own.
A special thank you for all your support.
In Other News…
As there are those who just can’t seem to leave well enough alone, and they feel their $0.99 must buy absolute perfection, and that they feel Amazon should be enforcing editorial changes on authors, I’m discontinuing offering monthly $0.99 titles.
I’m sorry, but they’re attracting a lot of persnickety individuals who very probably believe they are being helpful but in reality are causing a great deal of trouble for authors. I get wanting to help authors, but the way they’re doing it is not helpful. It’s harmful.
As I want to keep writing rather than stopping at Amazon’s schedule to make corrections for old books, I’m simply not going to be offering $0.99 titles unless it is being backed with a Bookbub. I may offer several titles at once should I get a Bookbub, simply so the persnickety individuals who are compelled to tattle to Amazon can get it all at their system at the same time to be the least disruptive to my schedule (and finances) as possible.
I just can’t justify taking the hits and risking losing publication rights at Amazon to continue this practice. I’ll still submit to Bookbub, but that’s going to be the general limit on how I distribute discounted books.
Thank you for your understanding. This sucks, but… if one person (or a handful of people) piss in the pool, nobody can swim. And it makes zero sense for me to keep inviting trouble, which is what the monthly deals have been doing. (For that, I am sorry, as I know people enjoyed the deals.)
It’s just no longer viable as an option, at least for as long as Amazon’s predatory policies remain intact.

I am sorry, but does drop card mean like a kindle type thing online?
like a pdf or such?
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
Drop cards are physical cards you get a code with, which will take you to a website where you can download epubs on.

I am sorry to seethe 99 books go. Living on SS only goes so far. I gave up my retirement for my husband retire and our house for his cancer. My only vice is reading. He was the drinking and party person. I enjoy yours don’t let them win.
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
My books are available to the public library systems in several countries. Request the digital books from your local librarian. Then you don’t have to pay anything at all to enjoy the books.

Thank you for the patience to try the discount sales again to allow your fans the opportunity to purchase titles they may have missed but you also need to look after you first and frustration is never good. Your generosity is note-worthy and appreciated.

You do what you need to do. Bookbub works just as well as Amazon. Keep them books coming!

Here’s a thought. Since Amazon controls the ebooks, how about discounting the audio books? Offer Playing With Fire for $1.99 for a week or so. Your readers who haven’t tried an audio book may give it a try (they’ll get hooked – sorry about that – not!) and others will try you books and get hooked. Audio is a different market.
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
I don’t even sell my audiobooks on Amazon, which is where the majority of audiobook listeners currently are. You can’t adjust prices on audiobooks on Amazon at all.
As it is, the audiobooks haven’t earned back. The only time I discount them is if bookbub does a promotion through Chirp. I already take too many losses to discount the audiobooks.

I have a question about Bookbub promotions. When Bookbud offers one of your books for 99 cents and you usually sell the book for 10 dollars are you able to classify the $9.01 as an advertising expense for income tax purposes?
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
No. You do not get to write off sales prices as expenses.

Good for you. I love your books no matter what
