During writing/editing, the number of kittens kidnapped was adjusted. The number is no longer six. I am removing the number of kittens from the description. Because reasons involving I changed the number of kittens. (This update will go live at the same time the finals of the books are uploaded to vendors.)
Reason why number of kittens changed: the size of laps within the book could handle only so many kittens, so one kitten was edited out to be the perfect number of kittens for the size of laps available.
Personally, I think this is an excellent reason to have changed the number of kittens within the book.
For your enjoyment: a picture of Princess sleeping beside my feet. She was cold, so I gave her my blanket.
The author may or may not be triple checking that the appropriate number of kittens is now consistent within Whiskers on Kittens.

Made me laugh. COL (Cat on Lap) is always important AND is a reason for others in the house to do your tasks, etc.

Funny you should mention this. In the last series I was reading, according to Ajani, the Furry Goddess, the perfect number of Furry Creatures on any given lap is exactly 1. And now, you are speaking heresy and saying that it’s some number greater than one. I can’t wait for the new book to come out, so I can reconcile these 2 opposing views.

Well, fortunately for everyone, those are two different universes, so everyone can be right.

I think this number may require serious research. Plus kittens!

Please send edited out kitten to me.

The more the merrier, but laps are important!

It’s like asking how many angels can sit on the head of a pin.

I have room on my lap for a imaginary cat. You can send it by Angel or demon courier, I sure they can find me.
