I am going to be pushing the release out a month (August instead of July) due to personal reasons. Due to same personal reasons, which I won’t be discussing in public, so pleae don’t ask, I won’t be doing any additional preorders for a while.
The release for Partner in Crime and Booked for Theft should go forward as scheduled, although I may move them out a month each if more time is needed due to life things that are going on.
No, it isn’t dental surgery related. No, it’s not related to the cats, neither. I really do not wish to discuss it, so I’m going to be firm on the boundary.
Well, with a small caveat; my editor is going on a multi-week vacation, and as I’m not writing as quickly due to various real life circumstances, I’m just going to give us an extra month with that book. It is what it is.
But in good news… Audrey Greene is my worst performing pen name and falls directly into the passion project category, so while there are some of you being inconvenienced, there aren’t all that many of you being inconvenienced. (Still, I apologize for said inconvenience.)
I’ll be changing the preorder date tomorrow. I’m simply not up for it tonight.
Sorry for the bad news, and I wish I had some good news to share, but I simply do not.

While it always makes me sad when I have to wait even longer for my next read but I appreciate that life happens. Whatever is happening, you do what’s best for you.

Dear Author
Kayla Rudbek
I hope that you rest and recover. I’m always happy when you have another new book out, and I don’t care when it comes out.
Randall Laplante
I wish the best for you and all your loved ones.
Brenda Gervais
We’re already spoiled with how often and consistently you publish. Thanks for letting us know about the delay, but do what you need–I hope the scale starts to tilt in your favour soon!
Robin
I sincerely hope that whatever it is resolves smoothly.
Carolyn Svans
All the best wishes that better times are ahead. You are a person, and are entitled to however much privacy you want and/or need. Anyone acting as if you owe us anything other than what you choose to give us should be flogged with a wet noodle. Take care.
merrybear
Life happens. The book will be worth the wait.
Thank you.

Hey, we make plan’s and life laughs at us and plays with our minds and lives. Whatever is happening with you and your’s is not something we need to know. But I do want you to know that I and so many others get so much enjoyment from reading your books. Kia Kaha (Stay Strong) from the bottom of the Planet, the far left southern most city, Invergiggles, in darkest winter, without snow tyres for the wheelchair and no such thing as a sleigh mobile. This is New Zealand, it’s so backward here it’s like living on another planet!
Andrea
I’m so sorry that something(s) in life is getting to you. I wish for better days ahead for you: health, healing, peace of mind. Whatever will help you is what I hope for.
(((hugs)))

Please take me best wishes for a healthy resolution to your problem. A delay is always understood when needed. I happily await what ever wonderful you wish to give us when you can. Please take care of your self and/or family first.
Vicki
Take care and take care of your family they have to come first.
Katzkann
You, your health, and your family come first- always. We love your books, but we can wait. It just provides us with more reread time.
jjmcgaffey
Don’t care – when it comes out, I’ll read it. You take care of yourself and what you need to.
Louisa Berry

A new book to read is always great news. Thank you for all of your hard work and willingness to share said hard work.
Misty
Dear Ms Blain, I have been reading your books for several years now. They have gotten me through so many hard times. Thank you for writing, wishing you the very best.
Pam
Sorry to hear that you need a break for non fun reasons. Hope you feel better! I will just reread your books and enjoy them again.
Carol A Schmoker
Take the time you need. Your health, sanity & family are most important!
Sherry Mitchell
Take care of yourself. Personal reasons are just that! I happen to like the Audrey Greene work. People can just take a barefoot walk through poison ivy!
Javahead
Take your time. Your health and well-being is far more important than an arbitrary schedule.
Hopefully, any issues you may be having to deal with will resolve favorably.

I don’t know why they think they have enough of a say to complain? Really. Traditional publishers just give a date and if the date changes it is announced. Silly little things thinking they can get a say!
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
And the traditional authors are given shit all the time if the publisher changes their date. People feel they are entitled to far more than they should be, especially in the age of the internet. It’s exhausting. I share a lot because I want to, and when I don’t, inevitably, there are those who feel they are entitled to more than what I’m willing to give.
That’s a reflection of them and our society rather than me, but it’s aggravating, especially when things, like life, are being particularly difficult.
Shelley
I hope that everything is well soon, and that we will be enjoying the fruits of your labours soon.
Nancy
Ok. I just got an Amazon notice to that effect. Whatever works for you. It will be a birthday read for me!
Randi Marie
Do what you need to do! Saying a prayer for love, peace, and strength for you!
