The title of this article says it all!
In the aftermath of being kidnapped by crazed mercury dragons, Kirani Kinsley Ramons dusts off her rusty skills and takes up the mantle of private investigator. With the dead growing more restless by the day and the fear of missing women in need of rescue looming before her, Kinsley dives into the case.
With her fiancé, her trusty carbunclo, and her hummingbird familiar at her side, Kinsley is ready for anything the world might toss at her.
As Kinsley unveils the identities of the missing and begins unraveling the mystery of their disappearances, she discovers there might be something far worse than a necromancer lurking within Dragon Heights. Uncertain of who to trust or where to turn, she seeks out the unlikeliest of allies: the restless dead.
To save those lost in the darkness, Kinsley will have to put everything on the line, embracing the full power of her line, no matter the cost.
New to Lilith Daniels? Great! This pen name includes magical hijinks with some humor and dark tendencies. If you are looking for happy-go-lucky or cozy, this vibe might not be for you. If you take the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series, add carbunclos (South American legends/myths involving felines) and splash in a fuckton of dragons, you’re on the right path. Read at your own discretion. I’m not responsible for your triggers.
Purchase Grave Affairs for $0.99 at the following retailers: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
If you like cats, hummingbirds, and dragons, this book is for you. If you dislike any of these things… probably not for you. In the slightest.
This is a slow burn urban fantasy with super super light romantic tendencies.
For those of you who have been looking for ways to help support me as an author, this is a great way you can help! The pen names, especially Lilith and G.P., really help pay the bills. Tell your friends. Fling copies at them if you have the extra pennies and want to take advantage of the sale. Divide and conquer!
Thanks for reading, and if you’re new to the series and haven’t dived in yet, I hope you love the book!

Yay! Love Kinsley and company! Penned into next October’s calendar!
Compelling story. I love all RJ’s works but I’d say closest in tone to the Jesse Alexander books (Water Viper and Steel Heart) which have shifters and mystics but no dragons and carbunclos. And the GP Robbins books (Dead Weight and soon to be released Partner in Crime) which have dragons and unicorns and magic users but no carbunclos.
For anyone who was hesitant to get it earlier this year, the price is never going to be better. Give it a try.
For anyone that got their original copy at amazon, now is your chance to get the copy with the bonus story at one of the other retailers for around a dollar (with tax).
Thanks RJ.
