Greetings, folks! This post will contain a general reminder of what’s coming up, how you can reach me, what’s going on at Patreon, and so on.
Presented in no particular order:
Kickstarter
Boxes will start going out again in a wave next week. This week is dedicated to turning my table into a mountain of books, establishing piles for who gets what book, and overall prepping for dooooooom.
Boxes will be arriving over the holiday season, so do be on the prowl. I will be going in “smallest to largest” order, with the “preorder store” books being thrown in as I navigate through the murky waters of the interface.
Preorders
Note: all Kobo preorders have been removed. New versions of these books will be established as preorders only when the full book has been written, edited, and it’s fully ready for live release. Until Kobo fixes their system, this will be the new norm. I apologize for this, but after the issues with the A Light in the Dark release, it is better for kobo readers to only give a preorder link closer to launch.
Experimental Voyage releases on December 25, 2024.
When a spaceship accident costs Camellia her chance to explore the universe as a botanist, she jumps at the chance to be a test subject on an experimental voyage. If the gamble restores her hearing, her dreams for the future will no longer be out of reach.
Venturing into the depths of space is dangerous enough, but when a shiftgem gate develops a mind of its own and yanks them into uncharted space, Camellia’s skills and tolerance are tested. Her chance to explore a new world proves to be a bitter pill to swallow upon learning the truth: some discoveries are best left lost.
How can Camellia, with the help of a grumpy pilot, his cat, and his crew of space-faring predators, safeguard an entire planet incapable of protecting itself?
The answer may cost her everything, including her heart.
Experimental Voyage first appeared in Pets in Space 8. This edition of the book includes new content.

Audiobooks
There are two audiobooks in production. I have no idea when they will be finished. When they are finished and proofed, the Patreon Store will get them first.
Note: for the completionists among you, the Requiem for the Rift King set of books is available in the Patreon Store (3 books for $7.99); to access the books, you will purchase the collection and then locate the post with an ePub attached. Download the book and sideload it to your device.
This set is available nowhere else, and when I do finish rewriting the books, the story will have undergone significant changes.
Patreon
You can access my Patreon here. We are currently doing a read along (pixies and higher) for Beneath a Blood Moon, a listen along (sirens and higher) of Null & Void, and cindercorns and spicy ponies with bite are reading along to Prince of New York and Booked for Theft as I write them.
Otters, Sirens, Cindercorns, and Spicy Ponies with Bite receive ePub copies of new releases that are not part of anthologies or collections several days prior to release.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Patreon, it is a subscription service that helps pay my bills and keep me trucking along even when retail doesn’t treat me kindly. Patreon is my second largest source of income, behind Amazon, and is where I input most of my time and effort. (Patreon and my subscribers are FAR more pleasant than dealing with Amazon. Far more pleasant.)
All of the books listed above are included in the Otter+ memberships.
Yes, Patreon and retail are treated separately, and I judge a series by its retail performance; while Patreon is my second largest singular source of income, retail is a significantly larger audience, and I have to plan my business around retail performance. That is why retail determines which series/worlds live and die. (Every series gets equal love over at Patreon. Retail is where I get the data on what people LIKE.)
Think about it this way; removing Patreon from the retail numbers changes nothing because it’s all about percentages. The people on Patreon, as a general rule, would have preordered everything anyway. The same general number of people are being removed from the retail pool, which leaves me with the same general story on how a series is performing in retail.
Let me show you with some numbers.
Let’s say there are 100 users on Patreon, and they buy everything. I’ll use two charts to showcase why not factoring Patreon isn’t a real issue.
Retail Sales Including Patreon users:
- Series 1: 120
- Series 2: 350
- Series 3: 276
- Series 4: 372
Retail Sales Excluding Patreon users:
- Series 1: 20
- Series 2: 250
- Series 3: 176
- Series 4: 272
Series 1 is performing just as badly as it used to be before Patreon users were excluded… removing the same number of people from the pool doesn’t change the story. All it does is showcase that Series 1 was only being purchased by the most hardcore of fans, who moved to the Patreon subscription service.
So, please stop worrying about what happens on Patreon if you are a retail reader. It truly does not change the story.
Series 4 would still have the highest raw sales, and Series 1 would still be rock bottom. it doesn’t change that Series 4 would be prioritized and Series 1 would be deprioritized.
And while I am always appreciative when my Patreon users decide to buy retail as well, it doesn’t really change the story because most of the Patreon users that do do this… buy everything.

If you do not see the book you want on this list, I do not have an answer for you regarding when it is coming out.
I hope you all have a wonderful December, and that you find excellent books to read.

Thank you for the update. I hope you find joy in this holiday season, time to spend with your loved ones, and time for yourself to recover from this very stressful year. 💕

I have some idea of all the books’ plots except Red Pandas, so I really wonder where that will go. There are so many ways you could develop this! My preorders are in as I sometimes struggle with Patreon. Enjoyed your balcony photos and hope you have a happy holiday season.

Squeal!! March 18th is the day after my birthday! If there is a better birthday gift than a book from one of my favorite authors, I have no idea what it is! Thank you for keeping my life happy!
PS I love red pandas so I am really excited about what you have on your computer!

When is the next book in the “Magic, Mayhem and the Law in Precinct 153” series going to be released? Or written? I’m hoping for Dowdren’s story!
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
Partner in Crime JUST came out in November… please let me at least have a month before asking about the next one! LOL I CAN say that it’s not going to be Dowdren’s book next; Jace is back as the lead.
Liesl
Secret Society of Red Pandas sounds intriguing. Just as a title. Is it part of a series?
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
It will be part of the Audrey Greene universe.
Purple Stained Sky will be a new world and pen name since it’s fantasy romance.
Liesl
Oh, also, Purple Stained Sky? Is this a new world or an existing one of yours?
